You will also find some major automotive makers have come up with concept trucks which are the height of luxury. One of the latest of these trucks is the new GMC concept truck, Denali XT Hybrid. (Click on any of the thumbnail images below to see a larger image.) Having previously owned a Denali and I now drive an Avalanche, this new GMC Denali XT Hybrid might be the combination of both! It should also appeal to the old El Camino officionado It's a fairly sporty, luxury truck that has a decent payload of 1,100 pounds and can tow your basic toys at about 3,500. This GM concept truck combines GM's hybrid engine system with a new 4.9L version of their small-block V-8 engine. This new engine is E85-fuel flex ready, and to help MPG even more, GMC has an an active fuel management system, which allows the Denali XT to run on fewer cylinders as needed to conserve precious fuel. There's also a more efficient, less waste direct fuel injection to boot. I hope this baby gets to the assembly line because I'll have the luxury of my old Denali with the versatility of my Avalanche.
Holden Design was at the helm of the Denali concept truck project.

For the drivers or pilots of large trucks, traveling long distances are part of the job. In most cases the trucks have not been designed for driver comfort. This however changes with that of concept trucks like the Mercedes. In this truck the level of comfort has been redesigned.
You will find there is a comfortable and reasonable sized bed in the back section of the truck cab. To help pass the long evenings, a well equipped entertainment section is fitted along the opposite end of the truck cab. For the long haul truck driver these are great benefits. This makes traveling in on of these trucks almost like going in a traveling house.
For concept trucks the range of ideas which can be used are endless. These ideas will include ways in which the comfort and speed of the vehicle can be kept at an aerodynamic level. The engine of these trucks will have enough horse power to travel without making the owner feel as if they were in an unwieldy vehicle.
You can see the latest concept trucks at the many different vehicle shows that are held every year. At these avenues the makers of these trucks introduce the new innovations which make these trucks unique. Perhaps when you see and test drive one of the great trucks you will become aware of the power and easy maneuverability of these new trucks. With concept trucks the automotive industry is able to take the ideas of truck driving to the next level. Make sure you check out these concept trucks at your next auto show, car show or auto expo.
